As the College will be introducing QCTO Programmes next year, we have embarked on a new journey where we visit schools in and around Ladysmith to create a bit of awareness about our courses.
We recently went to Mthaniya Combined School where we talked thoroughly about the courses available at the Mnambithi TVET College as well as introducing the new QCTO programmes that the college will offer. Career Guidance is an important tool that High Schools can use to assist pupils choose the correct career path, especially grade 12s and 11s. We also believe that career Guidance gives us as the opportunity to show case what the college do and how can students benefit from the services rendered at our campuses.
Mnambithi TVET College offers a variety of programmes such as NCV, for NCV requirement is a grade 9-12 school report. We also offer short skill programmes such as welding, carpentry and more. For short skills courses to register you need to have passed grade 10 and be a self-payer as NSFAS does not cover expenses for these short skills. Then there is our R191 Nated courses with requirement of a grade 12 certificate.
Mnambithi TVET College wishes to inform all our stakeholders that some of our programmes will gradually phase out in 2027 as we are now introducing QCTO Programmes but if you are still in your course or you have just applied for your N4 you must worry not you will be able to finish your diploma. The introduction of these programmes will make built-in workplace modules ensuring students exit the program ready for employment without needing post grad internships. The primary importance is bridging the gap between classroom education and the actual workplace by creating a skilled, employment-ready South African workforce.
Online applications for 2027 academic year will be opened in September/October 2026. For now we are taking N4 for second semester to apply please visit www.mnambithicollege.co.za
