Mnambithi TVET College is one of the selected Kwa-Zulu Natal TVET Colleges to host and participate in the Decade of Artisan 2024. On the 20th August 2024 we held our first preparation meeting at EZakheni E Campus, Mr. Evans Mmola led us through the presentations of what the project consists of and what is expected from the college.
Through the Decade of Artisan campaign, the government intends to encourage more young people to see artisanship as a career path, as there is high demand of Artisans in South Africa. This includes, Electricians, Technicians, Riggers, Builders and much more. The project is targeting mostly grade 9-12, career development practitioners, and industries at UThukela District. After the discussions followed a walk around the campus to do a physibility study and state of readiness.
