The Allan Gray Makers Inter-Campus Entrepreneurship has uplifted the spirit of young entrepreneurs within the campuses. This year’s competition was held at Mount View hotel on the 18 July 2024. It has once again provided a platform for these talented individuals to showcase their business ideas and compete for a chance to win a prize and move forward where they will compete and with other TVET College.
This initiative nurtures and promotes the culture of entrepreneurship within TVET College. Students are able to experiment with their original ideas, develop their business acumen and transform their passion into practical ventures. The competition had 4 categories that students had to choose from, namely ‘I have a Business Idea, I have a Tech Business, I have an Artisan Business and I have a General Business’. The pitching and end results of the competitors come from mentorship and support from the lecturers who worked tirelessly to nurture their presentation skills, assist in building confidence on public speaking and actually believing in themselves and their potential.
The winners will now move to the next round of the Allan Gray Makers Entrepreneurship where they will compete with other students from different colleges in the Province.
