Staff representatives play a crucial role in fostering positive employee relations and a healthy workplace. They act as a bridge between employees and management, ensuring that employees concerns are heard and addressed which can lead to increased job satisfaction, productivity and a more positive work environment.
On the 25th July 2025, the staff of Mnambithi TVET College voted for the staff representatives who would voice the collective concerns and aspirations of the Mnambithi TVET College Staff at various meetings throughout the year. The process was democratic and transparent. Each staff member had cast their vote through a secret ballot, carefully considering who they believed would best champion their interests. These individuals would be entrusted with vital role of bridging the gap between the collective voice of the Mnambithi TVET College staff and higher echelons of management ensuring that concerns, suggestions and aspirations were not only heard but actively considered in various forthcoming meetings.
At the end there were two candidates who won, for lecturer’s representatives Ms. Sphesihle Mncube won the elections and for support staff representatives Mr. Zakhele Sithole won the elections. This is a start of an improved communication, increased employee morale and enhanced productivity for both employees and employers.
