The event proved to be a resounding success, offering valuable insights into physical and mental well-being, as well as opportunities for fun and camaraderie.

The day kicked off with informative sessions led by a range of experts.  Dr Nkosi, a local doctor emphasized the importance of proactive health management, encouraging lecturers to be vigilant about their bodies and take preventative measures against diseases. Ms Cebisile Kubheka, psychologist provided invaluable advice on maintaining mental well-being, highlighting the significance of stress management and self-care in today’s demanding environment. Ms Andile Ngema who is an optometrist gave attendees access to optometrist services ensuring their vision health is taken care of. Financial strains can also have a negative effect on your well-being which is why financial advice was mandatory to this event. Ms Mbali Mncube from ABSA Bank was also there to speak on the importance of financial health, offer guidance and answer questions.

Apart from the informative sessions, the day was filled with opportunities for physical activity and relaxation. Lecturers participated in a variety of sporting activities, including aerobics sessions, calming Yoga practices and game of football. These activities not only provided a fun break from routine but also underscored the importance of incorporating exercise into a healthy lifestyle.
