Building mutual relationships through stakeholder engagements

IMG 0219

We were visited by a few of our stakeholders at our eZakheni ‘E’ Campus, the purpose of the visit was to have a dialogue about the importance of voting at a young age, the opportunities and advantages that comes with voting as South African citizen.

There was break away sessions, whereby students were divided into groups where they discussed what they know about the IEC, NYDA and DDP. They discussed and voiced out their views and opinions about the reasons for not showing interest in voting or being active in politics and how these government agencies should assist them in shaping their future as entrepreneurs and responsible SA citizens. After that, each of our stakeholders was given a platform to persuade the minds of these students by outlining their duties as to exactly what do they do and how is that a benefit for the youth of Mnambithi and its catchment areas.

Through active participation, young people are empowered to play a vital role in their own development as well as in that of their communities, helping them to learn vital life-skills, develop knowledge on human rights and citizenship to promote positive civic action so through these engagements students will see the opportunities they have and the importance of their inputs in the world.

Mnambith TVET College believes in empowering the youth with knowledge and helping them to see the opportunities they stand to have by being knowledgeable about what is happening around the world.
