On 3, December 2025 Mnambithi TVET College held a World AIDS Day event at Ladysmith campus. The campaign focused on educating students, interns about HIV &AIDS while also addressing Gender-Based Violence Femicide (GBVF). Through discussions awareness activities, participants gained valuable insight into the critical issue and learned how to promote a safer and more supportive community.

The event featured guest speakers including healthcare professionals and psychologist who shared their expertise on HIV prevention, treatment and care. They emphasized the importance of empathy, understanding and non-discrimination towards those living with HIV&AIDS. The expects also discussed strategies to combat GBVF highlighting the need for collective action to create a society free from violence and discrimination.

As we mark World AIDS Day and reflecting on the challenges posed by HIV and GBVF, let us unite in our resolve to build a world where everyone can live with dignity, respect and a good health. Together we can make a difference and create a brighter future for us.
